Description
I came across macadamia cream at a restaurant recently and love it! I had no idea what was in it (besides the obvious) but I wanted to recreate it immediately. I had so many ideas for it and couldn't wait to try them.
This recipe is so incredibly easy, you'll be making it all the time.
This cream is delicious with chicken or pork, as an alternative for dairy free bakes and even on pizza!
It will take you just 10 minutes to prepare and uses only a handful of ingredients.
Macadamia nuts have a subtle, almost butter-like flavour and creamy texture making them perfect for this. They are full of nutrients and high in fat, plus relatively low in carbs at 4.5g net carbs/100g.
Nutritional yeast flakes are an amazing addition to your diet. They are full of B12 vitamins which are great for energy, and they are delicious sprinkled on practically everything. I sprinkle them on green veg, avocado on toast, soups and pizzas. They give any dish a nice cheesy flavour.
I used lemon juice for a bit of tang. You could also use apple cider vinegar but I would start with a teaspoon and taste before adding more if needed.
