Keto Desserts Using Chocolate

I often get asked if it's possible to make keto-friendly desserts that still taste delicious. Most people believe that since you have to cut out sugar and other high-carb ingredients, they won't be able to enjoy their favorite sweet treats. But I'm here to tell you that this is not the case at all!

There are tons of amazing keto dessert recipes out there that can satisfy your cravings and keep you on track with your diet. Here are some of my personal favourites:

All of these desserts can be made with keto-friendly ingredients, and they taste just as delicious as the real thing. Whether it's Christmas, Easter or just your average weeknight, these will definitely leave you wanting for more!

Most Popular Chocolate Desserts

I'm a strong believer in the words of author Ursula Kohaupt - "Chocolate is happiness you can eat". No matter what mood you're in, indulging in a delicious and decadent piece of chocolate is a sure-fire way to put a smile on your face.

The most popular chocolate desserts are no doubt the classics - chocolate cakes, brownies, cookies, and of course, ice cream!

Chocolate tart is something people used to consider a luxurious treat, something you'd only have on special occasions. This was partly due to the fact that the original recipe is so darn complicated to make.

But this Keto Chocolate Tart recipe is so easy to put together, you can make it anytime your sweet tooth strikes. Plus, you don't even have to leave the house to get all the ingredients - they're probably in your kitchen right now!

Did you know: The chocolate tart is often dubbed 'Australia's most famous dessert'. This happened after this delectable treat got featured on the first series of MasterChef Australia (in 2009). It was so popular that one of the deciding factors in the series final was to create a simplified version of the chocolate tart recipe!

Chocolate Tart Recipe - The Keto Way

As I've already mentioned, this Keto Chocolate Tart recipe is super simple to make. All you need is some low-carb ingredients and less than 30 minutes to put it all together. In fact, the only difficult part is waiting for it to cool before you get to devour it!

I use almond meal, coconut oil, sukrin monkfruit sweetener, Lindt dark chocolate, whipping cream, and coffee granules to make this dessert. You can find the detailed recipe below, but feel free to adjust it according to your taste and dietary needs.

Don't forget to serve this chocolate tart with a dollop of double cream, some extra shavings of dark chocolate, and some fresh strawberries or raspberries. This will definitely take your dessert game to the next level!

Chocolate Tart Tips & Tricks

I've made this recipe a dozen times and it's always been a massive hit. Here are some tips and tricks to ensure your tart is perfect every time:

  • Use high-quality chocolate:The quality of the chocolate you use will greatly affect the taste of your tart. I recommend using dark chocolate with a high percentage of cacao for a rich, intense flavour. I personally prefer Lindt 90% Dark Chocolate.

  • Let it cool completely: Make sure you let your tart cool down completely before serving it. I know it can be tempting to cut into it as soon as it's done but trust me - this will help the chocolate set and give you a more consistent texture.

  • Add a pinch of salt: For both the filling and the crust, adding a pinch of salt will help bring out the flavours even more. It may sound counter-intuitive, but it really works!

Chocolate Tart Serving Suggestions

This Keto Chocolate Tart is delicious all on its own, but if you're feeling extra fancy, here are some great suggestions for how to serve it:

  • Top it with some double cream and fresh strawberries.

  • Serve with a scoop of keto ice cream.

  • Drizzle some melted dark chocolate over it.

  • Add a sprinkle of crushed walnuts.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab your apron and get ready to whip up this delicious Keto Chocolate Tart! You won't regret it - it's absolutely divine. Enjoy!
